While each age group will have developmentally appropriate activities planned as a part of their day, our curriculum has common topics between the different programs: Math, science, exposure to literature (and later writing), open-ended art, music, dramatic play and gross motor activities. The children have their classroom to explore plus our indoor play spaces as well as the outdoor playgrounds – all providing plenty of room to run or find a place of their own.
Our curriculum goes beyond just academic topics to include a social development aspect as well. Each age group builds on concepts of:
- self (my body, all about me)
- health and well-being (tooth brushing, eating healthy, exercise)
- getting along with friends (conflict resolution, sharing, respect for others)
- family (all different types)
- and learning about the world around them (cultural appreciation)
Each of our puppet program mascots will help teachers illustrate these concepts and our teachers are role models for the children.
