Toddlers

Taking the first steps towards independent
learning and play

Toddler Program Overview

Toddlerhood is an exciting stage in your child’s development.  It is a time when language, social, physical and cognitive skills begin to flourish.  Toddlers are learning during every moment of their day, using all of their senses to explore.  Based on our extensive experience of what these young explorers are learning, NGCC has created I Can Do It! and I Can Do It 2!  This exclusive program provides a comprehensive hands-on, multi-sensory approach to our curriculum.

Both programs focus on fostering social skills, language development and early math and science concepts.  Special “furry-friend” mascots become positive role models in demonstrating awareness of others, recognizing emotions and self-regulation.  The programs engage active Toddlers with movement songs during circle time and a sign-language program that will help support building their vocabulary.  I Can Do It 2 builds on the basics from I Can Do It, which will then flow seamlessly to our Preschool 3’s program.

Our Toddler Classrooms

Next Generation teachers engage your young explorers with an interactive, hand-on curriculum that channels their energy and excitement into positive learning experiences.  Your child’s classroom is designed with age-appropriate toys and equipment (like Toddler-height sinks!) in various learning centers including dramatic play, manipulatives, art, sensory tables, and circle time for sharing stories/music.  Children are encouraged to explore the various centers independently, as well as working cooperatively with their friends.
